Abstract:
Two-photon final state is one of the most sensitive channels for discovery of Higgs boson and making its property measurements. The sensitivity is driven by di-photon invariant mass resolution and detection signal over background ratio (S/B). I will report the study of Higgs boson decaying into two photons at CMS using multivariate analysis techniques. It provides optimal event classification by combining all event level information into a single classifier categorizing in mass resolution and S/B, and significantly improves Higgs search sensitivity and measurement precision.
