Title: Recent Results from STAR at RHIC

Abstract:

The physics goal of the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) is to identify and study the properties of matter with partonic degrees of freedom. RHIC has been in operation since 2001. In this talk I will present recent results from the STAR experiment at RHIC. The focus will be given to the issues of partonic energy loss and the partonic Equation of State extracted from the 200 GeV Au+Au collisions at RHIC. Near future upgrades for heavy flavor measurements will also be discussed.
