Title: Precision QCD Confronts the Higgs

Abstract:

The Higgs discovery has initiated a precision program at the LHC which promises to deliver valuable information for beyond the Standard Model physics. In many analyses, especially those with jet binning, theoretical uncertainties are the dominant systematic and will limit the power of measurements. I will discuss improved theory predictions for exclusive jet cross sections in Higgs production that combine resummed and fixed order perturbative calculations to significantly lower these uncertainties. When combined across jet bins, these results may be used to lower the relevant uncertainties in the Higgs → WW signal strength by nearly half.
