Title: The International Linear Collider

Abstract:

Abstract: The International Linear Collider (ILC) is a next-generation energy-frontier machine in electron-positron collisions. With the completion of the Technical Design Report at the end of 2012, the project will enter the phase of final engineering design. The first part of the talk will review the physics case of the ILC, focusing on the precision Higgs studies and their implications on new physics, as well as selected topics on supersymmetry and dark matter searches. In the second part, the R&D status of the accelerator and detector will be briefly reviewed, along with the efforts toward realizing the ILC.
