Abstract:

Do neutrinos violate CP? What is the ordering of the masses? Are the predicted cosmological "relic SN" neutrinos actually there? What can they tell us about the early universe? Do protons decay? These are all questions that could be addressed by 100 kton scale water Cerenkov detector(s) at a DUSEL faclity. Performance characteristics of such large detectors are discussed, and ongoing R&D work for such an experiment is presented.
