Abstract:

Pairs of leptons with the same electric charge are rarely produced in the Standard Model but are predicted to occur with an enhanced rate in many new physics scenarios. I will present an inclusive search for anomalous production of like-sign dileptons at the ATLAS experiment. The search is carried out using the 2011 data sample, selecting prompt and high-pt leptons in a model-independent way. The like-sign dilepton sample is additionally search for a narrow resonance, as predicted from e.g. doubly-charged Higgs bosons.
