Abstract:

I will discuss recent work on identifying the agent of electroweak symmetry breaking. After a brief phenomenological review of the Higgs sector of the SM and MSSM, I will first discuss the expected error on SM (and MSSM decoupling limit) Higgs branching ratios with a proposed CCD design for a vertex detector at the International Linear Collider. I will then discuss Higgs phenomena in models beyond the SM which might enhance the branching ratio for B --> tau+tau-. Finally, I will discuss work at BaBar on measuring the rare decay B --> tau+tau-.
