Abstract:
The 19th International Conference on Neutrino Physics and Astrophysics ("Neutrino 2000") was held from June 16 to 21 in Sudbury, Canada. In this talk, highlights from Neutrino 2000 will be presented. In particular, the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) collaboration has reported evidence for observing solar neutrinos after six months into production running. The new SuperKamiokande solar neutrino data disfavors the small angle neutrino oscillation solution. Preliminary results from the K2K experiment show a deficit in the number of fully contained events. New experimental proposals presented at Neutrino 2000 will also be summarized in this talk. In particular, the role that LBNL can play in future neutrino factory long baseline experiments will be discussed.
