Title: Run 2 Search for Long-Lived Heavy Charged Particles at CDF

Abstract:

Several extensions to the Standard Model predict the existence of heavy charged particles which are stable on an experimental time scale. We have performed a search for such particles with 53 pb-1 of data collected at the upgraded CDF experiment, using the time-of-flight detector which was installed for Run 2 of the Tevatron. I will present the results of the search, both in a model independent fashion and in the context of stable scalar quark production.
