Abstract:

I will present a summary of the efforts by the Homestake Collaboration to establish the Interim Laboratory at Homestake and to work with the National Science Foundation to create a Deep Underground Science and Engineering Laboratory (DUSEL). The NSF Process to site DUSEL will be discussed as well as the implications of the recent philanthropic donation by Denny Sanford to Homestake. Efforts to map out the science and engineering program will be presented.
