Abstract:
The Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment, a multinational collaboration operating in the south of China, has measured a non-zero value for the neutrino mixing angle theta13. Antineutrinos from six 2.9 GWth reactors were detected in six antineutrino detectors deployed in two near and one far underground experimental halls. The first oscillation results have been announced today and will be presented.
