Abstract:

The focus of the talk will be what has been learned from top quark decays and what one can hope to learn in the next Tevatron run (Run II). The discussion will include (1) a review of the production cross section results from Run I. (2) Projections for particular measurements in Run II. (3) A description of a new Run I analysis that extends the acceptance in the dilepton channel and in doing so tests the enhanced acceptance projection for Run II. (4) An overview of the CDF silicon (and other) hardware upgrades currently in progress
