Title: Overview of the Consortium on Electricity Reliability Technology Solutions

Abstract:

LBNL manages the Consortium for Electric Reliability Technology Solutions, which is conducting multi-institution public interest research to maintain and enhance the reliability of power systems during the transition to restructured electricity markets. The Consortium is focused on developing tools, technologies, and policy analysis for real time grid reliability management, electricity market design and market monitoring, demand response technologies and programs, and integration of distributed energy resources. Founding members of the Consortium include 4 national laboratories (LBNL, ORNL, PNNL, SNL), 11 universities organized through the National Science Foundation's Power System Engineering Research Center, and the Electric Power Group.
