But I shall. I do think that for the metaphysics of the mind body problem a dualistic frameword such qm gives so nicely is essential. I agree that without qm an identity theory might become inescapable. The question is how to convince others of this. The problem that I have with your approach is that I often think that you mix in the scientific aspects with the metaphysical ones. There really are two issues. Most people reject the quantum approach because they are pretty convinced that we will figure out how to evoke qualia without needing to learn qm. We could be wrong, but it isn't clear that we are wrong at this point. I think that if you separate your argument into two parts it will become much stronger. Would you, or you and Olivia be interested in joining Sonja and me for the pretalk dinner at the Bakhtivedanta Inst. It would start probably around 5 on friday. Stan
