Title: "Challenges Ahead in B Physics"

Abstract:

The next generation of experiments to study the properties of particles containing b quarks will include not only the B Factories at PEP-II and KEK, but also upgraded versions of CESR, CDF, and D0, as well as several other new initiatives. Some of the physics that these experiments can probe will be discussed. For decays to CP eigenstates, some features of methods to tag the flavor of the decaying $B$ meson will be noted, while for "self-tagging" decays emphasis will be placed on decays to pairs of light pseudoscalar mesons. Key issues here include the role of electroweak penguins and rescattering corrections in the measurement of weak phases. Some remarks will also be made about decays involving one pseudoscalar and one vector meson.
