Title: Planning for Snowmass

Abstract:

The APS Division of Particles and Fields and the Division of Physics of Beams are jointly sponsoring the Snowmass 2001 summer study to consider the future of particle physics. The organizers are Chris Quigg and Ron Davidson. The meeting will bring together particle theorists, experimenters, and accelerator physicists. The intention is to consider particle physics from a broad perspective, including both accelerator and nonaccelerator based experiments. The purpose of the November 1 sessions is to hear from Chris about the planning for Snowmass and to give LBNL physicists a chance to discuss the process with Chris.
