Abstract:

Dark energy has emerged as a serious problem for fundamental physics. I will review the present evidence for this mysterious quantity based on data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). I will then look forward to the next generation of surveys which will mmove us from the 'discovery phase' into the 'measurement phase' of dark energy research.
