Abstract:

I discuss the implications of the parameters of the standard model for physics beyond. The pattern of known fermion masses and mixing can be accomodated within several different classes of theories which also make testable predictions for neutrino masses and oscillations. Flavor dynamics also has implications for the physics of electroweak symmetry breaking and its experimental elucidation.
