Title: Weak Mixing from Z0 to Zero: Final Results from the SLAC E158 Experiment

Abstract:

SLAC experiment E158 has made a very precise measurement of parity violation in electron-electron (Moller) scattering. The spin asymmetry, measured with an uncertainty of about 18 parts per billion, determines the weak mixing angle at low energies with unprecedented precision. Combined with the measurements of at the pole, our result establishes the running of the weak mixing angle with over significance. I will discuss the experiment, the final results, and their implications for the various new physics models.
