Abstract:

I review the status of the rare decays of the Charm and Beauty mesons. These decays consitute a rich laboratory to study some crucial aspects of the nature of particle interactions. In particular they are very sensitive to the structure of Flavor Changing interactions. Since many rare decays involve interactions at the same perturbative order in both the Standard Model and in many of its extensions, they offer the excellent opportunity to discover large indirect evidence of New Physics.
