Abstract:

There has been considerable recent interest in B decays with / and in charmless hadronic B decays in general because of their anticipated importance in understanding the phenomenon of CP violation, and partly because of unexpectedly large branching fraction we observed for B We now have improved experimental searches for B meson decays on the CLEO experiment. New results are presented with the first observation of the decays B . Related rare B meson decays are reviewed and first search for direct CP violation in these decays is presented.
