Abstract:

The past decades have produced great leaps in our understanding of neutrinos; however, a few fundamental questions remain. Knowledge of the ordering of the neutrino mass states (the so-called mass hierarchy) can provide insights into several of these questions. This working group was tasked with reviewing potential methods by which the mass hierarchy could be determined. Each method will be reviewed, and the findings, conclusions and recommendations of the committee presented.
