Title: Study of Muon Antineutrino Oscillation in MINOS

Abstract:

The MINOS long-baseline neutrino experiment has confirmed the disappearance of accelerator muon neutrinos and has been continuously improving the precision of the relevant neutrino mass difference which drives the atmospheric neutrino oscillation. In the future, MINOS aims to measure the disappearance of muon antineutrinos and their oscillation parameters, which can be used to test CPT invariance and other exotic models in the neutrino sector. I will present the challenges and the preliminary results of the first direct measurement of muon antineutrinos performed in the muon neutrino dominated beam as well as discuss future prospects using dedicated antineutrino beam which started operation last September.
