Title: Double Chooz: On the Quest for Theta13

Abstract:

Further fundamental research in the neutrino oscillations field can be accomplished using reactor neutrinos. The smallest and still unmeasured theta13 mixing angle of the PMNS leptonic mixing matrix can be probed using a new generation of reactor neutrino experiments, such as Double Chooz. Such experiments aim to achieve unprecedented high statistics and low systematic uncertainties (<1% level). In my talk, I will illustrate how the Double Chooz collaboration intends to accomplish such goals making special emphasis on the readiness of the experiment expected to start data taking by the end of 2010.
