Title: The SuperB Project

Abstract:

SuperB is a novel accelerator, an asymmetric e+e- collider designed to exploit small emittance beams and strong focusing to obtain a luminosity in excess of 1036 cm-2 s-1 at the Y(4S) energy, two orders of magnitude higher than what has been achieved at the two existing B-Factories. I will present the physics case for high luminosity flavour physics, describe the SuperB accelerator and detector, and discuss the project status and perspectives, as presented in the recently completed SuperB Conceptual Design Report.
