AMS is a large amgnetic spectrometer designed to search for antimatter in
cosmic rays with high sensitivity.  I will talk about the phsycis
capabilities
design and construction of AMS.  The first flight on the space shuttle
Discovery took place last year and I will give some of the first physics
results from that flight as well as the future plans for the experiment,
