Title: Spectral Measurement of Antineutrino Oscillation Amplitude and Frequendy at Daya Bay

Abstract:

nos are considered the 'ghosts' of the particle world, present everywhere but rarely seen. I will explain how the Daya Bay experiment has now measured both the amplitude and frequency of oscillation of electron antineutrinos from nuclear power reactors. This measurement reveals two fundamental parameters of the Standard Model, the mixing angle theta_13 and the mass-squared difference delta_m2_ee. The measured mass difference is consistent with that from muon neutrino disappearance, supporting the three-flavor oscillation model.
